Your library card is a wonderful thing. You can use it to get books, movies, and computer access at the library. However, there are so many other things you can get with your library card.
1. Stuff from other libraries in the system
Your library card is good at every library in the Bridges Library System. Check-out anything from any Bridges library and most of those items can be even be delivered to Menomonee Falls!
2. Stuff from libraries outside the system
If we can’t find an item at a Bridges library, we may be able to get it for you through Interlibrary Loan. We can search the collections of most libraries in Wisconsin. If it’s out there, we can ask them to send it.
3. Wi-Fi hotspots
Need internet access on the go? Pick up a mobile hotspot from the Library! Our hotspots provide unlimited data for up to 10 devices.
4. Kill-A-Watt meters
How much electricity does your refrigerator use? Use a Kill-A-Watt meter to calculate your electricity usage and the cost of household appliances to understand and reduce your energy bill!

8. Online access to Consumer Reports
Your library card won’t get you a new washing machine, but it will get you into ConsumerReports.org. Use their reviews and ratings to find the washing machine of your dreams.
9. Passes to local attractions
Go to Milwaukee Art Museum, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, or Mitchell Park Domes for free! And there’s one more pass, but we’re not allowed to talk about it here, Stop by the Lucky Day Shelf in our lobby to see if it’s available. We guarantee you’ll have a wild time.
10. All the things
Tools • Board games • video games • activities • electronics • sensory bags • knitting and crocheting stuff • and more! We’re always adding new things to the Library of Things.
11. 3D Printer
Well, we didn’t become librarians because we were good at math, so here’s an extra bonus thing. Having a library card will also enable you to get trained to use our 3D printer, and any other fancy gizmos we get for our makerspace, The Forge.
