Front door of the library

We miss seeing you every day, and we know that you’re anxious to come back to the Library. This has been a difficult time for everyone, and while the road to how things were may seem long, we will get there. Our doors will open on June 11, and we will gradually add new services in a way that is as safe as we can make it for you and for our staff.

Our building will be open for holds pickup

You will be able to come into the Library to pick up your holds, no appointment required. Curbside Hold Pickup will continue for those of you who do not want to come into the building.

The Library’s hours are as follows (subject to change)

  • Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

We will not allow browsing at this time. You may still place holds through the online catalog or by calling us at 262-532-8920.

Please limit time spent in the building and observe social distancing guidelines. We strongly encourage you to wear a mask while in the building.

Do not return items in the building. Please return items to the book drop. Items that do not fit in the book drop or items marked “return inside” can be returned to the main desk or at Curbside. You do not need an appointment to return items to Curbside.

Social distancing guidelines will be strongly encouraged

  • Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people
  • Do not gather in groups
  • We will limit the number of patrons inside the library as necessary
  • If possible, please leave your children at home

The Library may look a little different

For everyone’s safety:

  • We have installed acrylic sneeze guards at all service desks.
  • Visual reminders related to social distancing will be in place.
  • Staff will be wearing face coverings.

Fine Free June

We aren’t charging overdue fines in June! How cool is that? All items checked out before the pandemic were due back on June 1, but we know that things are tough right now. We won’t penalize you for returning your items a little late.

We will be issuing new library cards

If you need a new library card, come on in. We’ll hook you up. Save time in the building by signing up for a library card online before coming in.

If you signed up online for a temporary library card, you can come in to finish your registration. Please bring a photo ID and proof of residence to the main desk to get your permanent library card.

Computer Usage

Computers are available to library patrons, by appointment only. To reserve a computer, call 262-532-8920.

Sessions are limited to 45 minutes, but time can be extended if there are no other reservations.

Staff may be unable to help with computer or printing/copying issues.

Summer Library Program

Like so many things this year, our Summer Library Program is going to look a little different. But we’ve got a great summer planned and are excited to share it with you!

This year we’ll be using Beanstack to run our Summer Library Program. Beanstack is an online platform that allows you take part in challenges, track reading, and keep your family motivated to read. We invite children, teens, and adults to participate for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses.

We’ll let you know how to sign up soon. Mark your calendars, the Summer Library Program starts on June 15!

Our digital services will continue

Our staff has worked diligently during the pandemic to offer digital programming. We’ve offered storytimes, book discussions, and online trivia nights, and will continue to do so. Check out our events calendar to find out what we’re offering next.

You also have access to a robust selection of digital content including:
