Library Clerks – Circulation – Part-time

Menomonee Falls Public Library is seeking two detail-oriented, customer-focused, team players for the position of Part-time Library Clerk – Circulation.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Checking material in and out
  • Collecting fines and fees
  • Processing bills, material notices, and library card applications
  • Sorting and re-shelving library materials
  • Answering questions and solving problems in person and via phone or email and refer any unusual problems to the supervisor

Qualifications:
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent before date of hire plus a minimum of three months of customer service or office experience (library experience desirable, but is not required); or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job. Computer proficiency and a comfort with technology are required. Organization, communication and excellent customer service skills and a previous knowledge of library materials, methods, and techniques are highly desirable.

Hours:
20 hours per week – Schedule that includes: days, nights, & Saturdays

Compensation and Benefits: $15.11 per hour
Paid time-off for eligible employees
