CHILDREN’S WINTER READING PROGRAM

Children ages 5 to 12 can earn prizes by completing a BINGO reading sheet this December through January.

BINGO sheets will be available starting Monday, December 16. Sheets can be redeemed from Thursday, January 2 through Saturday, February 1.

We hope you’ll spend your winter reading with us!


STORYTIMES

January 13 – February 27

Engage in stories, songs, and play for young children and their caregivers.

LAPSIT FOR LITTLE ONES

  • Mondays, 9:30 – 9:50 AM
  • Tuesdays, 9:30 – 9:50 AM

For babies birth – 2.

TODDLER TALES

  • Mondays, 10:00 – 10:30 AM
  • Tuesdays, 10:00 – 10:30 AM
  • Thursdays, 9:30 – 10:00 AM

For toddlers ages 18 months – 3.

STORIES ALIVE

  • Tuesdays, 11:00 – 11:40 AM
  • Thursdays, 10:30 – 11:10 AM

Followed by a simple craft. For preschoolers ages 3 – 5.

STORYTIME AT FRESH THYME

Fridays, 10:00 – 10:30 AM

Join us at our local Fresh Thyme Farmers Market for stories and snacks. Best suited for children ages 2 – 5.

SENSORY STORYTIME

Saturdays, 10:00 – 11:00 AM

This inclusive storytime is designed specifically for children of all abilities, especially those not comfortable at a traditional storytime. Best suited for children ages 3 – 6. Registration is required.

PARACHUTE PLAY

Saturday, December 7

Sing, dance, and engage in cooperative play with parachutes. For children ages 2 – 5. Registration is required.


JUMPBUNCH

Friday, December 13, 10:00 – 10:30 AM

Get moving and have fun in this sports-oriented fitness class. For children ages 2 – 5. Registration is required.


PLAYGROUP

Wednesdays, 9:30 – 11:00 AM

Stop by the Library for a drop-in play time where children and caregivers can play, read together, and interact with other families.


LITTLE MAKERS

Wednesday, January 15

  • 9:30 – 10:00 AM

Toddlers are invited to listen to a short storytime and then complete an open-ended art project. For children ages 18 months – 3 years. Registration is required.


OBSTACLE COURSE

Friday, January 31, 10:00 – 11:30 PM

Release some winter wiggles and engage in gross motor activities with a fun obstacle course. For children ages 2 – 5.


PRESCHOOL EXPLORERS

Wednesday, February 12, 10:00 – 11:00 AM

Join us for storytime followed by time to explore and learn with hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) activities. For children ages 3 – 5. Registration is required.


SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAMS (AGES 5 – 12)

LEGO CLUB

Wednesdays, 3:30 – 5:00 PM

HOUR OF CODE

Tuesday, December 10, 5:00 – 6:00 PM

Want to learn how to code? Explore the basics of coding by completing fun tutorials on Code.org for its annual Hour of Code. For children ages 8 – 12. Registration is required.


CODING TOY PLAY

Wednesday, December 18, 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Come play with our Ozobots, MeeperBOTs, Spheros, and more, and learn some beginner coding in the process!


BOOKS & COOKS

Wednesday, January 22, 4:00 – 5:00 PM

Join us as we talk about books and make yummy snacks at our local Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. For children ages 8 – 12. Registration is required.


I SURVIVED PARTY

Monday, February 17, 2:00 – 3:30 PM

Do you like the I Survived series? Explore some terrifying and thrilling events of the books through crafts and activities, and discover if you’d survive!


CRAFTERNOON

Wednesday, February 19, 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Drop in for some afternoon crafting. We’ll make musical instruments using simple household objects.

No school today? Bring your pillows and blankets and join us for a showing of a recently released kids’ movie. Popcorn will be provided.
