Building Features
- Parking: The Library has handicap accessible parking located near the main entrance and along the south side of the Library building. A van-accessible handicap spot is located in both areas.
- Entrance: The entrance to the Library does not have any steps and features automatic doors.
- Walkers & Transport Chairs: Wheeled walkers and transport chairs are located in the main lobby.
- Elevator: An elevator with Braille signage is available at the center of the Library.
- Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on both the first and second floors.
- Changing Stations: Changing stations are located in the Children’s Library in the Family restroom and the Quiet Room.
- Catalog Computers: Accessible catalog computers are located on both floors.
- Quiet Room: A place for children who are feeling overwhelmed and need a sensory break. It also offers a feeding space and diaper changing area.
- Service Animals: Service animals are allowed in the Library for those with a disability under the ADA
- Shopping Baskets: Baskets are available to help you carry your items.
Assistive Technology
- Assistive Listening Devices: Hearing loops are available at all public service desks and in the Community Room and Children’s Program Room. Additional assistive listening headsets are available in the Community Room and Children’s Program Room.
- Low-Vision Computer: All public computers have magnifying capabilities. Select computers on the second floor feature large print keyboards.
- Assistive Computer Devices: a Turboring trackball mouse is available upon request.
- Magnifiers: A magnifying reader is available by the microfiche machine on the second floor. Magnifying glasses are available at all public service desks.
- Microphones: Whenever possible, Library programs are conducted with the use of microphones and speakers.
- Accessible Makerspace: Our Makerspace, The Forge, features a variety of accessibility features. Tables can be manually raised and lowered, the Janome sewing machine can be operated with a foot pedal or by hand.

Retrieval of Library items: Library staff are happy to retrieve items for you ahead of your visit or when you come in. Please ask any staff member for assistance.

Home Delivery

This is My Library
Planning a trip to the library with your child? To help prepare your child for a visit to the Menomonee Falls Public Library read the story “This is My Library” with your child. The story is intended to help children become visually familiar with the library so that they can feel more comfortable during their visit.
Literacy Corner
A selection of fun child development toys for children of all abilities. Great literacy activities to encourage growth in communication skills in preschool children and those with special needs.
Dementia-Friendly
Menomonee Falls Public Library is a Dementia-Friendly Library as certified by the Waukesha County ADRC. All staff are trained on welcoming those with Dementia at the Library.
