This Giving Tuesday, we come together to support the incredible nonprofit and charitable organizations that make our community great. We hope you will consider the many ways that you can support Menomonee Falls Public Library and the Menomonee Falls Library Friends, a 501(c)3 tax-deductible nonprofit organization.
Here’s how you can support the Library:
- Get a Library Card! There are so many amazing things waiting for you at the Library. Find out how to get your very own Library card by reading our FAQ.
- Join the Friends! Your Library Card is amazing, but it does not give you automatic access to be part of the Menomonee Falls Library Friends. Consider joining the Friends! Your annual membership supports Library programming and gives you access to Friends only events like the popular biannual Friends Book Sale. You can join by filling out a membership form in the Library or online at our Givebutter page.
- Buy from the Library’s Wishlists! Purchase something from the Library’s general Amazon wishlist and the wishlist specifically for our Makerspace, The Forge.
- Spread the News! This holiday season, tell your friends, family, and acquaintances about how wonderful your Library is. We have over 17,000 cardholders but are always welcoming more.
- Eat Sweet Treats! Visit the Friends’ holiday bake sale! The Menomonee Falls Library Friends are looking forward to their next event, a bake sale, being held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in conjunction with the Library’s Jessica Michna: Mittens On The Tree event. During this event, Jessica Michna will present as Caroline Ingalls, mother of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and share holiday recipes and traditions. What better event to pair with a bake sale! The sale will take place in the lobby of the Library from 5-8PM.
- Help Preserve Local History! The Library and the Library Friends have launched a fundraising initiative to increase accessibility of our historical newspaper collection. We aim to raise $47,000 to go towards digitizing our historical local newspapers so they are fully searchable and available online 24/7/365 without needing to wheel through reels of microfiche. Looking up your family history? Simply type in their name and find all mentions of it dating back to 1903! We have already raised over $12,000! Check out the archives we have already done here. - Visit Latitude Cafe in the Library! Latitude is a full service coffee shop located on the 2nd floor of the Library. Find everything from coffee, tea, and smoothies to cookies, sandwiches, and healthy snacks. The best part? 10% of sales go towards supporting our Library! Thanks, Latitude!
Your support of the Library and the Menomonee Falls Library Friends is vital.
Library Friends fundraisers help the Friends support programming at the Library. Recently, funds were used to support the creation of the CoLab co-working spaces, book club and docuseries events at the Library, summer reading program prizes, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and 100 Books Before Middle School programs, Library Staff education day, Puzzle and Game Day. To date, the Friends have donated over $20,000 to the Library in 2025. Next year, they have committed to funding the majority of Library program for all ages, totaling over $11,000.
